The intention of this thread is to provide a communication platform that allows for the ongoing discussion of ideas regarding and surrounding marketing, promotion and web development. WE are looking to establish and find people within The Gold Ring who have skills, talents and interests to help us in this initiative. I suggest the complete GR DVD's should also be available to purchase in the format of Audio CD's. From my experience and because of my school schedule I desire to hear the teachings while I am driving to school and other places. Last Saturday I bought my car to the toyota dealership for maintenance service and after the service representative checked my car in, he asked "what is that you are listening to?" He also stated "wow that is some powerful stuff"! Well of course I told him about the GR as well as showed him on his computer(at work) the GR wikki, Rysa's profile and mine...When I returned to pick my car up, the price he quoted me the day before was not what I paid for the services....He discounted me $100.00, and gave me 2 free car wash details. The Gold Ring #8 Guidance was the CD I was listening to. I don't have a DVD player in my car, however I made an amateur audio CD copy on my own....the quality is okay, but I know if it was originally made on audio it would be perfect.....thanks for the consideration, lovejoy

I wanted to introduce myself... My Names Ali, i just signed up on the site today, but am very familiar with the gold ring videos. I ve been deeply fasinated by them and from the very beginning ive have wanted to spread the word. I wanted to ask if 3rd parties will be able to market and benefit from the release of these videos. I have all kinds of web development skills and have long been looking for a project to join. I truly believe in the value of this project. I want to becaome a part of the marketing and web development campaign.

Those are for the Gold Ring DVDs and we are also creating e-downloads, audios and books via the Christ Within portals. These are collective co-creation projects that are underway. The Christ Within is currently being translated into 13 languages and the artists and musicians are creating graphics and audios for them. We are also looking into having a shop for products and services of the GR Media Group and GR members.

Hi,

I had an idea while following a web seminar from www.tubemogul.com.

Using www.kickyoutube.com (download videos from youtube) and tubemogul (uploading to many sites with one upload, for free) I thought the viral marketing could be incredible if the community get to it!

Is this a crazy idea?

Hello my loving friends!
As some of you may know I was a Real Estate Investor, until things got greedy and sour. Now I am involved in "Green" Ecommerce, I can work it from any where in the world (which is super convenient for my journey). The platform of this company is sort of an MLM (Multi Level Marketing), we could implement a similar concept with our site here; Ie, we each bring in a few members and they each need to do the same...each member makes a small donation and after a certain amount of members, the originator receives a DVD set and or cash bonus. We'd be creating enlightened wealth! Additionally, I have noticed many Wayshowers are stuck between following the path, but also having to worry about making a living, we should offer them tools to facilitate them financially, since when one originally sees the truth it's so hard to be grounded materially.
If you like the idea I'd be more than glad in getting involved and putting it together!

I am very, very new to this site, (less than one week)...so I ask for patience....I was wondering a few things. First if there is some kind of information page that one can print out and pass out. I say this because I am associated with a spiritual center, and I could really use a source to spread the information when I am not there. Also, what I have come up against is that I know tons of highly enlightened individuals that would absolutely love this forum, but in no way could navigate it without a very clear step by step information page...like "GoldRing for Dummies". These individuals are older and not computer savvy... I just got my DVD's and as soon as the weather breaks I plan to have a group day to view them. At that point I would love to have hands on information, approved by the Gold Ring Community, in printed form to pass out, and step by step instructions on how to begin the game...from the intent and purpose of this community, what to expect, and then starting the Wet Paint account, how to find graphics to express ones self on their page, ( what to do to start and what is offered on a daily basis). What I would like to do in my area is to create a "free" physical forum to share in this wonderful quest... Also, I thought that maybe a business card size graphic could be created for downloading, with brief site information, logo, and address. This would be great when we are out in the world, at the mechanic, at work, etc... Can anyone help me with this please?

Why not just build up a "sales force", i.e. people who wanted to could set up their own meetings at which some videos could be shown and then be able to sell sets and receive a commission. The added benifit would be that groups might then organically sprout up as a result around the place.

I'd enjoy "selling" this product, although i have to say it would sell itself :-)

Hi! Just to let you know I am here to help in anyway I can.. I just found this post threw the weekly email of posts.. heh.. I did not know that was gonna happen.. Glad it did!! :) So I can do website design, help with CEO, do graphics and animations.. .. I can do just about any kind of graphic or animation.. banners... so on.. I can also do word press themes ... As I come away from the work I have been doing I will have more and more time to show you what I can do.. until them I do have an online resume... if anyone wants to see it just let me know.. :)

Leveraging content. Creating content. Monetizing content. These are Marketing challenges that I am glad to see GoldRing focusing on. Marketing is a critical function of any company's brand, and it's not just a logo any more. Seems like GoldRing has a vision to help a genre of spiritual Community aggregate content (gather and re-distribute, etc), but as of today, has only the founder's content for sale? Again, much potential here as the content currently for sale is acting as "beta" as the sales channels and marketing strategies and tactics evolve.

The Marketing role descriptions published by Ashnondoah (http://goldring.wetpaint.com/page/Needs+~+Volunteers) reflect a complex corporate Marketing domain. I think Ashnandoah's intention was to post the types of roles in hopes of gathering diverse talents and perspectives, but volunteers are not likley going to be able to function as coprorate marketers. So I ask for clarification [clarification from Ash is that it was for gathering people].

In terms of Content quality, I mentioned the Wingmakers brand. The brand is strong, and GoldRing's will be strong, too, because of the audio-visual quality. Most spiritual content come in the form of written word or static art. I am grateful to be connecting with such creative people.

Pricing and sales channels (my feedback)

-- DVD pricing seems a little high. There is a lot of insightful content on the web that is already free. What is the value justifying the price? Production costs for example?
-- Don't publicly list the wholesale pricing because it erodes your retail pricing.
-- The sales processes seems like a work in progress with plenty of room for human error.
-- And under no circumstances will I personally entertain or support an MLM sale model.
